Gates Learjet 35A N10BD (cn35-506) is a permanent static display located at the mid point of the long Terminal C concourse.
This 1983 built business jet was owned by Bill Daniels a Colorado native and pioneer of the US Cable TV industry who became a co-owner of the Los Angeles Lakers and also owned the Utah Stars, both US basketball teams. Daniels died in 2000 aged 79.
On February 14, 1996 Daniels sponsored a successful challenge to the world speed record using this aircraft which completed an around-the-world flight in a record 49 hrs, 21 min, and 8 sec. The aircraft routed from Denver via St. Kitts, Sal, Olbia, Riyadh, Varanasi, Manila, Yuzhno-Sakhalinski and King Salmon. https://fai.org/record/3113.
