New York La Guardia (LGA) – Marine Air Terminal, New York
Opened in 1939 for Pan American's fleet of Boeing 314 Flying Boats this Art Deco–styled rotunda is decorated with historic photos, a giant granite bust of Mayor Fiorello La Guardia (himself an aviator), and the restored, 237-foot long wrap-around mural ‘Flight’ by James Brooks.
A scale model of a Pan American Boeing 314 NC18603 hangs from the center of the rotunda.
The terminal is currently designated as La Guardia’s Terminal A and some of Delta Airlines’ (DL) flights continue to operate from the Terminal.
The terminal has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places since 1982.
