DART’s Dallas Streetcar is a tram route commenced in 2015 operating a fleet of four Brookville Equipment Corporation (BEC) Liberty class streetcars along a single 2.5m route with 6 stops between Union Station and Bishop Arts District downtown Dallas.
The service is free to ride (as at April 2018).
Dallas Streetcar was the launch customer for Brookville, PA based BEC’s Liberty Streetcar in 2015 and the vehicle has since been deployed in Milwaukee, Detroit and Oklahoma City. The vehicle is a hybrid electric vehicle able to operate using catenary overhead wires or off-wire on battery power.
